We don’t sell balloon flights — we create personal, hosted experiences, from the moment you arrive to the moment you celebrate afterwards.
Every flight is personal and unhurried, with small private baskets designed around you and the people you choose to share it with. You’ll be welcomed properly, invited into the experience, and given time to take it all in — whether that means helping prepare the balloon, capturing photos, sharing a quiet moment in the basket, or simply enjoying the view together.
Flights take place at first light or early evening, when the Avon Valley is at its best — drifting silently above Bristol, Bath and the surrounding countryside.

We meet you personally
We meet you at an agreed pickup point and welcome you to the team. The day starts the moment we say hello — not when you first see the balloon.
The drive to the launch field
The journey to the launch site is part of the experience. We use it to answer your questions, explain how the morning will unfold, and build the anticipation.
The balloon begins to come to life
Once we arrive at the launch site, the crew begins preparing the balloon for flight. You’ll see it laid out across the field, inflated and brought to life in front of you — the first real moment your BLUE experience starts to feel real.
Before we fly, your pilot will talk you through a clear safety briefing, explain what to expect during take-off, landing and the flight itself, and answer any questions you may have. You’ll know exactly what is happening and feel fully prepared for the adventure ahead.
Watch, or lend a hand
You’re welcome to help lay out and inflate the balloon if you’d like to — or simply sit back with your coffee and watch it all come together. Both are equally welcome; there’s no pressure either way.
Boarding & the BLUE Moment
Boarding is calm and unhurried. Once you’re safely in the basket, the pilot takes a quiet moment with everyone — acknowledging any nerves, settling the group, and marking the start of something you’ll remember for years.
The flight
We aim for the flight to be between 45 minutes and an hour, though this can change with weather conditions. You’ll drift silently above the Avon valley, Bristol’s rooftops and the hills around Bath — climbing for the view, dropping low over fields and water as the wind allows. Your pilot hosts, tells the stories, and leaves space for silence where the moment deserves it.
A safe landing, and respect for the land
We land safely and pack away efficiently, always leaving the field as we found it. The relationships we hold with local landowners are part of why we can keep flying — so the celebration waits until we’re clear of the field.
The celebration
Back at the meeting point or an agreed spot, we raise a proper toast and often head on for breakfast or a drink. This is your moment to sit back, talk it over, and feel the day sink in.

Our gift vouchers can be used towards any BLUE flight experience. The recipient has 12 months from the date of purchase to redeem their voucher. Once redeemed, we’ll contact them when suitable flight opportunities become available and help arrange their experience.
Frequently asked.
Ballooning is entirely weather-dependent — we need calm wind and clear visibility. If your flight is stood down, we’ll rearrange free of charge to the next suitable date. Weather is a major part of ballooning, and we’ll always choose safety.
Please allow around 5 hours from start to finish: arrival and briefing, inflation, the flight itself (roughly an hour in the air), landing, pack-up, and the celebration afterwards. Timings depend on conditions on the day.
Launch sites vary across Bristol and Bath depending on wind direction on the day — we’ll confirm your exact site the evening before, once the forecast is settled.
The minimum age to fly is 8 years old, and children must be accompanied by an adult. You’ll also need to be able to climb into the basket and stand for the flight and a brace-position landing. Let us know about any concerns when you enquire.
Yes — the Private Charter option is exclusive use of the balloon for your group, with full flexibility on date and launch site, subject to availability.
